In January of 2016, ASCAP recording artist, Tami Hix released her 2nd CD "The Sunflower Girl".   Tami's new CD is the eagerly awaited follow up to her debut album "Tami Hix" which was released in January of 2011.   Both of Tami's CDs are available for purchase or download from cdbaby.com and amazon.com.

Tami Hix grew up in Pasadena, Texas.  She began singing in the Choir in middle school and continued through her 1st year of college.   Tami picked up the guitar in 2003 and wrote her first song in 2005.   It was at this time that Tami began studying the works of Bob Dylan, Etta James, Lucinda Williams, Mary Gauthier and Slaid Cleaves.

An artist herself, Tami's words are the colors she uses to paint songs of great emotional depth and melodic beauty.   Her songs are rich with a lyric imagery that is both deeply moving and very personal.   Tami's voice is powerful and delicate at the same time and her songs haunting and beautiful.   Through her music Tami portrays the happiness and the heartache she has experienced in her life.

Tami Hix is a Composer of great talent, versatility and musical depth, an artist whose songs come from her heart and resonate in her soul.   Tami has a unique style that many say comes from a rich blend of influences- Country, Pop, Blues, Rock and even Disco.                                  RWT
